Position: Java Software Engineer

What You’ll Do:
As a Software Engineer you will :
Develop and ship code that may be included in our next release
Contribute to open- source technologies and tools
Help us innovate and design next generation technologies
Build and implement new features or tools
Actively participate in code review sessions
Ensure scalable, quality code through unit and functional testing
Required Skills:
- Proficient in one or more of the following: Python , Typescript, Javascript , Java, Scala, Go, C# and/or C++
Understanding of object-oriented or functional design patterns
Ability to critically think through and solve problems
Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously with appropriate mentorship, support, and guidance from your manager
Valued Skills:
Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React , Redux, and/or HTML/CSS
Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Node.js , Express.js, Pandas, and/or Dask
Experience or familiarity with APIs
Exposure to cloud technologies and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and/or Microsoft Azure

Position: Data Engineer

What You’ll Do:
As Data Engineer you will :

focus on end-to-end data collection, intake, and processing
-
Create processes and frameworks for complicated data science projects across distributed systems

Serve as a liaison between the BI Team and other entities who consume BI owned data

As a BI Data Engineer, you will implement, maintain, and populate analytics databases
-
Work with pipelines, tune databases for efficient analysis and create table schemas using ETL methods
-
Partner closely with the BI Data Architect and BI ETL Developers to become a subject matter expert (SME) for BI data
-
Ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targets

Contribute to the database design collaborating with Data Analysts and Data Modelers

Provide support for all phases of testing such as integration and user acceptance

Generate appropriate unit test plans and assure quality of work
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in one or more of the following: Python, Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Google Analytics, SAS, SPSS

Strong SQL skills. We pulling from a variety of platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, …)

Proficient in Developing software processes, Data Modeling, and Data Governance, and relational databases

Ability to critically think through and solve problems

Exposure to Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, NoSQL, Postgres RDBMs
